A high-grade shu pu-erh with a classic flavor profile, shaped like a square chocolate bar for everyday ease.
The blend combines two types of whole-leaf material from Pu’er County: large-leaf tea from old trees (Da Shu), which gives body, thickness, and depth — and tender palace-grade (Gong Ting) buds, which bring brightness, rich taste, and a lively energy. Moderate fermentation and about a year of aging created a smooth balance of strength and softness.
Each bar has 9 easily breakable tiles, 7–8 grams each. That’s nine tea adventures — for ceremonies, casual brews at home or work, travel, or the great outdoors. Break a piece, add boiling water, wait, enjoy!
Aroma
Woody, nutty, spicy, slightly sweet with a hint of tang.
Taste
Smooth and mellow, with a light bitterness. Easy to drink — cup after cup. Notes of walnut, tree bark, and spices. The aftertaste is sweet, buttery, and woody.
Effect
Energizing and uplifting.
Production
Harvested in 2021 in Pu’er County. Moderately fermented in Menghai, pressed in 2022 in Menghai, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan, China. Despite being relatively freshly pressed, this bar is already well balanced and will continue to develop density and richness with time.
